What is the best material to use when re-covering the cushions on a rocking chair?

If you can find the info on it...Look for double rubs on the fabric specification. You will pay more for a higher count but the higher the double rubs - the more life you'll get from the fabric. For commercial use I try to keep it in a 75,000-100,000 double rub to ensure the clients get a good amount of use from it. You can go down to 50,000 and still be in good shape, but stay away from fabrics that have less than that.
Okapi skin.
Probably cotton as its non - slip

Anything with nylon in it would surely slip all over the place
not, but make a blindfold out of the same fabric

rocking chairs are hideous and grandma-ish
