Sounds like a simple welding job.
However ,any repair will take the chrome plating with it.
Might try a motorcycle shop .
They can easily do the welding & be able to get the legs rechromed.
Welding might be be between $25 & $ 50
Having the legs rechromed so they match?
Been a long time ,but a wild guess.... if you let the bike shop handle it..... maybe $175 for the whole job , if they take pity on you.
